Michael Tedford, M.D., a board-certified otolaryngologist, specializes in medical and surgical treatment of children and adults with diseases of the ear, nose and throat. Since 1990, Mike, who founded the Ear, Nose & Throat Clinic and Hearing Center, has practiced in Minneapolis and Edina, and enjoys regular staff privileges at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Children's Hospital and Clinics, and Fairview Southdale Hospital.

Consistently named as one of the Twin Cities' Best Doctors by Mpls./St. Paul Magazine, Mike received the Abbott Northwestern Bruce Linderholm award in 2001, given by the hospital medical staff for leadership in the hospital and community. He previously served as President of the Medical Staff at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, and continues serving on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Medical Insurance Company.  In addition to treating his patients at the ENT Clinic, Mike provides regular pro bono medical care at the Cleft Palate Clinic at Children's Hospitals and Clinics.

Prior to serving his internship and residency at the University of Minnesota, Mike graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1985, and from the University of California, San Diego, in 1979.

Geoffrey Getnick, M.D.  a board-certified otolaryngologist, received his Bachelors Degree from Princeton University, attended medical school at Case Western University, and completed residency training at Northwestern University.  In addition to expertise in all aspects of ear, nose and throat medicine and surgery, Dr. Getnick has a special interest in surgical treatment of the thyroid. 

Clay H. Ansley, a certified nurse practitioner, has been extensively trained in ENT specialty care, including taking medical history, performing physical examinations, and using nasal and laryngeal scopes. He works in close collaboration with Dr. Tedford and Dr. Getnick about every patient's condition and treatment. Clay is qualified and licensed to diagnose and treat, and to prescribe medication. He received his M.S. in nursing from Vanderbilt University in 2001. He worked for 2 years at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville and at Tennessee Urgent Care Associates. He has a B.S. in nursing from Belmont College in Nashville.

Jon E. Schee, our hearing specialist, is a nationally certified audiologist. Licensed in Minnesota to dispense hearing aids, Jon has been a clinical audiologist since 1985. He received a Masters degree in Communicative Disorders/Audiology from University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and a B.A. from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He enjoys working with patients of all ages and has a special professional interest in hearing amplification, including fitting the newest digital and programmable hearing instruments.

Laurie Beall is an assistant to the practitioners, and has been with us since 2002. Laurie is a graduate of St. Olaf College, class of 2002, with an M.A. in Biology.  She took a short break from schooling to compete in an international level horse competition in 2001, and was invited to winter with the World Equestrian Games silver medallist, however returned to MN to pursue her love for medicine.  Laurie works closely with Dr. Tedford, Dr. Getnick, and our nurse practitioners to assist with medical histories/physical examinations, completing physician dictations, patient teaching, and other healthcare related duties.  Her career goals include a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies.

Amy Santella is a licensed practical nurse currently registered to practice nursing in Minnesota.  She graduated from Hennepin County Technical College in 2005 with an associate degree in nursing, and is currently enrolled at Normandale Community College studying to become a registered nurse.  Amy works closely with Dr. Tedford, Dr. Getnick, and our nurse practitioners to assist with patient teaching, telephone triage, and other healthcare related duties.  In addition, she also works with an organization caring for developmentally disabled adults.

Deb Arenz, is a licensed practical nurse currently licensed to practice in Minnesota. She graduated from Hennepin Technical College in 2005 with a degree in nursing.  Deb has experience in home health care, OB/Gyn, and Family Practice and was extensively trained in telephone triage at Park Nicollet in Eden Prairie.  Deb works closely with Dr. Tedford, Dr. Getnick, and our nurse practitioners to help assist our patient callers with assessment of symptoms and other concerns our patient's have regarding their health care.

Karen Roth is a clinical assistant and has been with us since October 2007.  She graduated from Dakota County Technical College in 1995.  She previously worked as a medical transcriptionist for the Allina Medical Clinic in Eagan and also for MedQuist Transcription Outsource Services. 

Lynn Clark is our clinic administrator, and a certified medical office manager. She works to assure that all of our patients have a comfortable and professional experience at our clinic. Please contact Lynn with any concerns.

Marissa Mason and Ruth Winterer are the friendly faces and voices that you'll see and hear most often when you enter our clinic or call on the phone.
